I got to use the Air France lounge while I waited for my flight to Paris. It was great! I had free wifi and free food! (although the window views were a little grim)
I enjoy coming back the familiar views. I usually have a set plan of where I want to visit during my first week back in Paris. This includes my favorite museums, my favorites parts of town, and of course seeing friends!
Place de la Republic, this is very close to where I always stay. In recent years its accumulated a lot of graffiti and it a main place for protests and casual political discussion.
I took a trip to Musée de l'Orangerie to see the amazing full room installations of Monet's Water Lilies. I've actually never been to this museum before. It's not very large so it was possible to see everything they had to offer.
I also went to the Centre Pompidou to see their Paul Klee and Beat generation Exhibitions. The Centre Pompidou is my favorite museum in Paris, if I could work here one day that would be AMAZING!

Off to visit friends! The Paris subway cars are much small than the ones in New York but the overall openness and feeling of the Paris metro beats New York for sure!
Shakespeare and Co. isn't a usual stop for me but it is near Notre Dame which is my favorite Paris monument. I spent the afternoon with friends, we ate falafel and strolled around the Saint-Michel area of Paris.
During my first week I made my usual journey to Primark. I actually love their tights but the closest USA store is in Philadelphia.
A cute tea bar where I had lunch with friends
