I love baking but I find that my made-from-scratch baked goods aren't as amazing as I would like them to be. The one exception to this is my chocolate chip cookie recipe, they always taste soo good!
To make the perfect recipe for my taste buds I looked up a bunch of different cookie recipes online and in my cook books to see the common ingredients and processes. I figured out what is important to the cookie recipe and what is important to me, like what makes it gooey or cake-like or how much chocolate chips are too much, etc. My recipe also make the perfect amount so I don't end up with a million cookies just for me.
Here's the recipe:
1 1/4 cup Flour
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 stick of butter (room temp)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Here's what I did:
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in on bowl
In a second bowl mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Then add the butter and an egg to sugar mix
Mix contents of both bowls together and add the chocolate chips
Place spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, bake for about 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
